Studying the Retention of Women in the Legal Profession

As early as 1993, the Wilson Report, prepared by a task force chaired by Madam Justice Bertha Wilson and released by the Canadian Bar Association, identified barriers to the advancement and retention of women in the legal profession.

Decades later, the retention of women continues to be an issue that plagues the legal profession. Law Societies across the country have started to study this issue and prepare their own reports with a view to initiating change. Links to those reports can be found below.
