The Canadian Chapter of the International Association of Women Judges has started a project called Obiter Dicta, to introduce newly appointed women judges to our members.  We hope to provide a short feature on new appointees on a regular basis.  Our goal is to share not only what is provided in a Press Release upon a judge’s appointment, but also some information about who the judge is beyond her past professional experience.

With that goal in mind, we will ask new appointees to answer five questions from a list of ten.  The Honourable Judge Lisa LaBossiere, of the Provincial Court of Manitoba, very kindly agreed to be our first participant. CCIAWJ Members can access the profile here.
