The CCIAWJ is pleased to congratulate our Board member and colleague Delaram Jahani on her appointment to the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Delaram was appointed a Judge of the Provincial Court of British Columbia in 2018 with chambers in Surrey, where she presided over proceedings in both French and English. Prior to her appointment to that court, she was a trial lawyer with a specialized practice in the areas of family and child protection litigation. She also served as an ad hoc prosecutor for the Public Prosecution Services of Canada.

Delaram has served on the CCIAWJ Board since 2025. In addition to her work on the Board, she contributes to judicial education initiatives, as well as mentorship programs for young lawyers.

Delaram’s appointment was announced on March 27, 2026. We are delighted to recognize her well-deserved achievement.
